The Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008, includes many requirements for disclosing information to the public; current students and their families; prospective students and their families; college employees and prospective employees; prospective student-athletes and their parents, guidance counselors and coaches; college bookstores. These disclosures include information regarding general college information, security and safety data, athletic program participation data, and information pertaining to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Privacy of Student Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to educational records. 听Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) information is also in the Catalog, and further details can be obtained on request from the Registrar's Office, 410-822-5400 Ext. 5846, D-123. 听听

Complaint procedure
Any person who believes he or she has been subjected to any form of prohibited discrimination, including violations of any of these laws, may file a complaint of discrimination with the Director of Human Resources (Office location: D-249 of the Dorchester Administration Building on the Wye Mills Campus; Phone: 410.827.5811). Copies of the complaint procedure will be provided on request. All complaints will be investigated by the College, and if a violation is found, prompt corrective action will be taken. Persons dissatisfied with the results may appeal to the College President.

Scholarships and grants are forms of financial aid that a student does not have to pay back. Student Financial Assistance Programs
Our section includes eligibility requirements, application forms and procedures, satisfactory progress standards, cost of attendance, types of financial aid programs, disbursement of funds and return of Title IV assistance. Cost of Attendance
The Cost of Attendance (COA) for each student includes Tuition and Fees, Books and Supplies, Room and Board, Transportation and Personal Expenses. Eligibility for Financial Aid (Need) is determined by subtracting the student鈥檚 Expected Family Contribution (FAFSA) from the Cost of Attendance (COA). Please see current for a breakdown of expenses.

Satisfactory Academic Progress

Return of Federal Funds Policy
Federal Financial Aid (Title IV Funds) are awarded with the premise that students will complete and successfully pass the classes they enroll in each semester. If not, the will determine the amount of aid that needs to be returned to the Department of Education.
Federal Verification
Verification is the process that the Financial Aid Office uses to determine that the information reported on the FAFSA is accurate by review, evaluation and correction of errors. All schools that award Federal Title IV Funds are required by the U.S. Department of Education to administer their guidelines. Learn more about the .
